Packing Part 2

Apologies for the lack of posts this week, it’s been crazy busy and I’m finding it hard to catch up.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of travelling down to Sudbury to visit my friend Jess.

Packing for a weekend away is easier said than done…

I find it really hard to pack just for a few days as you still need your basic items and especially with the unpredictable/constantly changing UK weather,  you need to have some options to accommodate and avoid getting caught short.

I paid to check in a suitcase as I knew a cabin bag just wouldn’t be enough.

So, how do you pack for a few days away?

Well, the weather was expected to be pretty reasonable – mostly dry and sunny with only a few thunderstorms so I tried to pack accordingly but ended up taking too much as usual…

For two days away, I packed three dresses (just incase), a maxi skirt, a maxi dress (OK 4 dresses), two pairs of trousers, one pair of heels, one pair of sandals, my Zara ‘Skort’ and 5 or 6 different tops.  Then I had my pyjamas and underwear and my essential toiletries – toothbrush, dermalogica cleanser etc. I didn’t take any other toiletries as I was able to use my friend’s which saved me some space and weight.

I kept it simple travelling down by wearing jeans, a tee and a blazer for comfort.

My suitcase coming back was much heavier due to grabbing a few bargains (which you will see soon) in the summer sales.
