Good Morning & Happy Friday!

Today’s look reminded me of a ballerina hence the title. I’ve always wanted a pretty tulle skirt but never quite found one to suit. I came across this one in Zara a few months ago and I immediately decided it would form the outfit for my friend’s leaving party. As you will have read in this post, the look didn’t quite come together in time and I wore something else instead. Although the skirt is lined, it’s still quite transparent especially when wearing white underneath. In a lightbulb moment the other night I remembered I had a grey jersey midi skirt which I could potentially wear underneath. After a bit of shuffling of material as the jersey skirt is longer than the tulle, I managed to get it to sit without anyone knowing I was wearing a second skirt underneath. It added a bit of extra volume too which I really liked. Love it when a plan comes together and an outfit idea you’ve had in your head comes to life.

This ruffle bandeau bodysuit from Tosphop is one of my best purchases this summer. It’s super elegant and goes with everything whether it be jeans as styled in this post, with patterned trousers as styled here, or for today’s look with a pretty grey tulle skirt. It’s really versatile, comfortable and classy so pretty much an all round winner. It will definitely be a key item in my suitcase when I head to Cape Verde in December.
