Good Morning & Happy Friday!

Just a quick post today to say I’m off on holiday tomorrow – woohoooooo! I don’t know if I’m going to blog when I’m away as I’ve been waiting all year for this trip and I want to make sure I properly relax and enjoy it. For the last 4 years I’ve used almost every single day of my annual leave to travel which is amazing and I’m grateful I’ve been fortunate enough to do that. On the other hand, travelling is exhausting and when my weekends are used for creating content for the blog, I don’t have much downtime which is starting to catch up with me. So far this year I’ve been to Paris twice, Milan, Venice and Salou plus countless trips to London for work. I still had quite a lot of annual leave left and decided to use it take some days off rather than for travelling. For the last few weeks and up until the end of the year, I’m only working 4 days a week and Friday’s are my day off. This has made such a difference and I now realise the importance of having time to myself to relax instead of using every single day for travelling.

Anyway above is my travel outfit. I don’t usually travel this casual however we’re leaving at 2am to drive to Manchester which is about 4 hours then we’ll have about 2 hours in the airport before the 8 hour flight to Cape Verde. Comfort is absolutely essential and I’m always cold on flights hence the reason I’ve layered up. A large scarf is a must have as it can double up as a blanket on the plane. My Aldo bag is perfect for hand luggage as it’s big enough for all the essentials including my laptop, camera, iPod and some much needed in flight snacks.

Now I need to finish off packing and try and get some rest before the very early start and long journey ahead.

Ciao, Ciao!

xo!
