Good Morning & Hello March,
I’m so excited to share this outfit with you. If you’ve been around for a while you’ll know how much I love my black shabby chic cardigan from Zara. Since I got it in January 2016, I’ve been searching for another one in different colour or a similar style and it’s taken until now to find the perfect one. I have seen some others along the way but they just didn’t have that luxe feel that the Zara one had. Luckily this one does…
First of all, I spotted it on instagram and I was immediately on the hunt to track it down. It was by the brand Glamorous and I was searching everywhere desperately hoping it wasn’t last season and sold out. I finally found it on Topshop but they only had a size M and only one left. In my desperation I ordered in the hope that it wouldn’t be too big and I could get away with it. For some people, at that point, the search would be over but as my colleagues tell me ‘I’m not normal’ I continued stalking every hour of the day searching to see if it would miraculously appear somewhere in a smaller size. Let’s just say, miracles do happen and it appeared in a size 6 on ASOS the next day. That it was I call FATE!
In the space of 24 hours I’d gone from having none to having two. What are the chances! The Topshop medium wasn’t too big and if it had been my only option I would have obviously kept it. The ASOS size 6 was actually from the tall section and was therefore slightly longer but a better fit up top. Topshop were selling for £60 whereas ASOS had it on sale for £42 so I decided to do the right thing and keep the cheaper one. I’m getting pretty good at this saving malarkey btw.
The black and white and mixed detail could not be more me. It’s monochrome heaven and will go perfectly with everything in my wardrobe. It’s super cosy and the loop wool detail is so chic, I feel fabulously glamorous! It’s also really practical and can be worn off the shoulder if you want to look like you just don’t give a ****.
Anyway that’s the story of my new beautiful cardigan and if it wasn’t obvious enough from the story above – I absolutely love it! Be prepared to see more of it as it’s pretty much all I’ll be wearing until summer.
