Good Morning Monday!

Hope you had a great weekend.

It’s back to work today and I’ve been stuck in a rut of wearing trousers and long sleeve shirts for the duration of winter. As much as I love to be warm and cosy, it’s definitely time to switch it up and start to bring in more Spring/Summer pieces. I’ve got so many beautiful dresses which lie in the wardrobe unworn from October – March. In reality, there’s no reason why I can’t be wearing them in different ways through winter laying knitwear underneath and pairing with boots instead of heels.

That’s exactly what I’ve done today and it’s so refreshing to wear something different and a new combination. I’ve paired a sleeveless Karen Millen animal print dress which is perfect for Spring/Summer with a slight opening at the back with a turtle neck knit jumper from Zara. The combination of the print of the dress with the plain black knit long sleeves works really well. The high neck and thin knit material is great for keeping warm and I’ve also layered another top underneath for extra warmth (I’m always cold). I’ve added boots instead of my usual heels and I think they go perfectly. I’ve brought out my old trench coat which is great match and the colour compliments the print on the dress. My Aldo bag with the patent detail adds a sleek finish to the overall look.

There you have it – a completely new outfit from existing pieces in my closet.

Have you got any items you only wear during specific seasons that could be transitioned year round?
