I thought I’d do a little round up of my weekend so far. It was a very hectic week with early starts and late nights every night which I don’t cope too well with. I need my sleep in order to function and the week has taken it’s toll, particularly as the weekend has been no different. There’s lots going on and lots to do but it’s so good to spend quality time with family.
On Friday night straight after work I went to the shops to collect a couple of parcels and do a few returns. I managed to resist buying anything else which was a first. I was then babysitting my adorable twin nieces. I can’t explain how much I love these girls.
Saturday started early with a blog shoot followed by a nice breakfast and then a bed sheet change. I usually do that every Sunday but in hope of a relaxing Sunday I wanted to get it out the way. I was then babysitting my nieces again and we had family over to visit. Lunch and snacks followed with lots of tea and cake too.
Today is a chill day and I plan to spend as much time as possible in bed relaxing, catching up and watching YouTube videos. Of course I could have had a lie in but instead I woke up at 7am. There’s still a hundred things to do like edit photos, prepare blog posts, schedule social media as I’m away with work a few days this week, prepare a fattouch salad with my Lebanese friend’s recipe, package items that have sold on eBay – the list goes on.
I started my day with a good breakfast as that is a luxury I didn’t get to enjoy all week. Simple things like that help me refocus when I’m feeling overwhelmed or like time isn’t on my side.
