Before I jetted off to Cape Verde, I had one last browse on Zara and boy was it worth it. Not only did I pick up the most beautiful white lace bandeau top (featured here) and a chic pair of blue and white stripe linen trousers but I also snapped up the most beautiful blazer I have ever seen.
I’m not really a girly girl, I don’t wear a lot of pink in fact I think the pink bag I got recently from Mango was the only pink piece in my entire wardrobe. One has now become two in the form of this stunning blazer. I have this textured style of blazer in grey and navy and both were from Zara. The quality is exceptional and I wear them to work, day in day out and they still look as good as new. The shape is structured and the shoulders are firm which gives a luxurious feel and helps hold the shape after a lot of wear.
When I spotted the same style of blazer in this beautiful pastel pink colour I knew I had to step out of my comfort zone and go for it. Not only is the blazer the perfect style and shape but the lining is absolutely stunning with a different design to anything I’ve ever seen before following through to the sleeves, creating a nice effect when rolled up to a cuff with the contrast between the soft pastel pink and the white lining with the pretty detail.
I was a little worried about wearing this and it getting dirty just because it will be easier to see than on other colours but it’s too nice not to wear. A simple top underneath is essential to avoid taking anything away from the blazer. I picked up this basic oversized white t-shirt from River Island and it’s perfect for everyday wear. The neckline being a bit lower shows some skin without exposing too much. Paired with ripped jeans and my grey heels, this is the perfect outfit for summer days that run into evenings, BBQ’s with family or lunch with the girls.
Be prepared to see more of this over the coming weeks and months. I would love it if they also brought it in baby blue. Zara if you’re reading (extremely unlikely), please make it happen.
