Good Morning,

I love a good blazer, rain hail or shine I have different styles for different occasions and climates. Thin and crepe ones for hot climates, thick textured ones for winter, at least a dozen for work purposes only and a few that can be mixed and matched in between. I couldn’t tell you how many blazers I own as it’s probably a ridiculous number and there’s a few that are past their best yet I refuse to get rid of them. I’ve got one from Zara that cost £19.99 from the special prices collection and I swear it’s the best fitting blazer I’ve ever had. It’s absolutely done now having been worn to death over the last 4 years however I can’t face throwing it out. It just shows you can get good fitting, long lasting and affordable pieces on the high street.

Anyway today I’m wearing another favourite blazer and styling for summer. In Scotland, we can experience four seasons in one day and a blazer is a good option to give coverage and warmth should winter arrive by midday yet it’s still appropriate if the sun descends upon us later in the evening. It’s really a great all rounder and I like to change it up and wear in different ways.

This double breasted blazer is from Topshop and I love the style and shape. The fit is longer than some of my other blazers but the type of material is perfect as it hangs nicely and gives a smart feel to otherwise basic or simplistic outfits. I particularly love the prominent white buttons. They demand attention and don’t get lost in amongst the royal navy blue which could easily happen with black, silver or gold detailing. 99.99% of the time, I wear this blazer with a white tee. It’s a match made in heaven. Today’s outfit is no different with the exception of wearing with shorts instead of jeans. I think the longer length of the blazer works fine with the shorts, I wasn’t sure at first but I do like it. I also like the contrast between the deep navy of the blazer and the light wash denim of the shorts. The white tee gives a clean separation between all 3 pieces.

I’ve paired with white high tops for a casual day and it works well with the white tee and white buttons of the blazer. Sandals would also be perfect or heels for a dressier look.
