The imminent change of seasons is evident here in Glasgow with days getting greyer, shorter and crisper. As someone who feels cold almost all of the time, I like to make sure I’m prepared for the drop in temperatures and layer up in thicker and cosier pieces.
When I laid eyes on this cardigan on River Island’s website, there was no question about whether I should buy it – it was essential. The perfect combination of my favourite colour grey, the chunkiest knitwear to keep cosy and the oversized style I love through the Autumn and Winter seasons where I like to hibernate and indulge in comfort food. This will certainly help hide any minor weight gain which is inevitable through the colder months.
It’s easy to style with jeans and a t-shirt for a day to day look although I think I’ll end up mostly wearing it in the office to combat the air con and typical workplace politics when it comes to temperature. I’m also thinking it could work with a dress or skirt and boots. I might give that a try and see how it looks.
On this occasion I’ve paired with a white lace top (what else?) and boots. The bag is new in from River Island and is definitely a Valentino dupe. The only problem is the cross body strap is really long and doesn’t give the option to adjust. I’ve just worn with the handle this time but obviously that’s not always possible or ideal and will limit my options when it comes to wearing it.
