Red on Red

Good Morning,

I’ve totally got out of my comfort zone lately with the colour injection into my wardrobe and exploring different textures (velvet) that I would have avoided like the plague previously. It’s quite a nice change and editing these pictures was fun as I had more things to consider rather than just correcting exposure and contrast.

Anyway I’ve gone all out in this outfit and red is the clear theme. I thought adding the red bag might be too much but actually it works perfectly and the bold shade totally grabs your attention as the red stripes on the bodysuit are mellowed as a result.

It’s a simple outfit yet it feels elegant and I’d be comfortable knowing that whatever I decide to do today, I’m dressed well and I won’t feel out of place. It’s the perfect outfit for a spot of afternoon tea, hitting the shops, going to an event or even a concert in the evening. It’s definitely a good all rounder and staple option for days where you maybe don’t know exactly what you might end up doing.

The bodysuit is well fitting and the funnel neck detail makes it appropriate for the time of year. The ruffle waist jeans are feminine and the detail helps to dress them up from what could be just another pair of casual jeans. The ankle boots are ideal as they’re a classic style, not too fussy or fancy and they don’t take anything away from the rest of the outfit. The bag is the key piece and the scarf detail adds some contrast. The silver hardware is subtle and blends in with the overall look.

This is a contender for my upcoming trip to Italy.
