I noticed this beautiful coat in the Zara Special Prices section and I was devastated to find my size was out of stock. I could understand why (it’s so lovely) but nobody enjoys not getting what they want and I’m no different. Devastated is maybe a bit of an exaggeration but you get what I mean.
The coat was showing in stock at my closest store however thanks to the beast from the east, I couldn’t get out my street at that point. I kept checking back and it finally came back in stock so I purchased immediately and patently waited deliveries to recommence in my area and life to get back to normal ie DPD attending on the daily!
I got a coat from Zara Special Prices for £30 about 4 or 5 years ago and it’s honestly one of the best coats I own even to this day and after constant wear every Autumn/Winter. It’s kept it’s structure and it’s beautifully tailored.
I was hoping for the same quality with this purchase as the price point was the same although the shape and style is a bit different and I haven’t been disappointed. It’s not as thick or structured but it’s still good quality and the colour is beautiful.
The black buttons help with pairing the coat with darker colours ie black. I do like the contrast of black and pink together and I think it works well with the other accents in this outfit such as the felt beret hat and the smooth leather of the boots. The stripe top underneath also works well in complimenting the pink tones with red but also with the thin black stripes which are quite subtle. Of course I love the French slogan, how could I possibly resist? I’m so predictable at times.
I can’t wait to get more wear out of this coat as the temperatures warm up.
Have a great weekend!
