Easy Like Sunday Morning

Sunday morning’s should always be enjoyed at a slow and leisurely pace. The joy of waking up naturally is one of life’s great pleasures and it’s something I never take for granted.

Sunday Morning 1

Having previously worked all hours of the day, travelled through various time zones and suffered with jet lag, I am very aware of the value of taking care of your body and mind. Never having a set routine played havoc on my body clock and sleeping habits. You don’t need to have a strict routine but going to bed,  waking up and eating meals at roughly the same time each day really helps to keep you on track. Drinking plenty of water and getting enough sleep are also two of the most important things you can do to nourish your body and mind.

We all lead very busy lives nowadays and I’ve been known to feel guilty for taking it easy and having a duvet day or binge watching an entire season of my favourite TV show but it’s ok to take some time out. It’s ok to take time for yourself and you should never feel guilty for it. These kind of days may not be instagram worthy but maybe they’re not for sharing? Maybe those are the days you keep to yourself for yourself…

Bed
