Transition to A/W Styling

Good Morning Friday & Hello September!

Can’t believe we’re into September now, the time is passing so quickly. I’m really excited for the next few months, there’s much going on although right now I’m most excited about heading to Paris shortly.

Anyway today’s outfit includes a pair of trousers I’ve had for a long time but never worn. I came across them the other day, quickly put together this outfit and then asked myself why I’d never wore them before now. Does anyone else do that?

They are such a nice comfortable pair of trousers which easily go with anything as they are monochrome. I folded up the bottoms as they were too long and I always like to show a bit of skin between trousers and footwear. They can be dressed up with heels for a night out or dressed down for day to day wear.

As I said last week, I’m trying to be creative with the clothes I already have and create different outfits instead of constantly buying new clothes. I’m going to have a search through my wardrobes and storage to see if there’s any other hidden gems I can transform into different looks particularly as we transition from Spring/Summer to Autumn/Winter styling. There’s a certain pressure with a fashion blog to always be on trend or always showcasing new looks and new styles but it’s unrealistic to think I can afford to buy new clothes every single week. I believe those who are most stylish are the ones who can make any outfit look good and that generally comes from within although confidence also has a lot to do with it.
