Good Morning Monday!
I’m feeling fresh after a lovely long weekend, particularly as I got to enjoy my friday off this week. I’m getting quite used to not working on a Friday but the weeks are flying in especially as I’ve got to cram everything into 4 days therefore it’s quite hectic Mon-Thu. It’s worth it though when I get to spend more quality time with my family and enjoy some much needed downtime considering I’ve only used about 10 days annual leave so far this year. I’m not quite sure how I’ve managed to this point without burning out.
Anyway on to today’s outfit. On Saturday I felt really inspired and decided to put together a different outfit from my usual. Recently I’ve been planning outfits for my upcoming trip to Cape Verde and the jumpsuit is something that will be heading into my suitcase. I thought it would be good to transition it to Autumn/Winter styling to show how you can take items in your wardrobe and wear them any time of year. I’ve layered a plain white ribbed bodysuit with my beautiful white lace bodysuit on top for maximum heat. I always find multiple thin layers work better than one thick layer. With the jumpsuit on top and my big shearling jacket, I’m ready for the freezing temperatures that we are currently experiencing. When I took these pictures on Saturday, it was less than 5 degrees – brrrr! Winter is definitely here. Paired with my gorgeous new bag from Aldo and boots from ASOS, I’m ready for any occasion be it shopping with friends, a baby shower or a birthday lunch – this outfit is suitable for all.
I really like the different textures in this outfit from the faux suede to the thick shearling and then the shiny patent bag. The contrast works well and adds another dimension. I love those days when you feel inspired to wear something different instead of just throwing on the same old jeans and tee. It helped that the weather was beautiful on Saturday. It was one of those freezing cold, crisp Autumn/Winter days with clear blue skies and crunchy leaves scattered on the ground.
