Good Morning & Happy Friday!
We’ve made it to the end of the hardest working week of the year in my opinion. I always find that first week back challenging and long. It’s often slow to start, getting back into the swing of things and getting productive again takes a bit of time. If you’ve read recent posts you’ll know for the last 2-3 months of 2016, I was only working 4 days per week, using my annual leave to enjoy Friday’s off so not only is this a tough week getting back into a normal routine again but it’s also my first working Friday for a while which is a struggle to say the least. Although I do now get to enjoy dress down Friday’s again which I’ve always loved.
Anyway on to today’s outfit. I often forget about this coat and go for months without wearing it, remember it and then it’s not off my back. I love how heavy it is and the colour is perfect with the boucle style. It’s massively oversized which is great for the post Christmas period when you feel like you’ve ate your body weight in food and chocolates – I hope that’s not just me btw. Underneath I’ve gone for my high neck bodysuit with
non-weather suitable open back detail but I figured the hat is keeping me warm and therefore it’s okay to show some skin. What do you think? Definitely a contrast. High waist jeans hide the tummy area which is a bonus and the Topshop boots help elongate my legs – never a bad thing.
You might have spotted a new bag – I did treat myself to this in the sales after buying it in the plum colour as a gift for my friend. It’s such a perfect size and the chain and logo detail is really simple and classy. The gold hard wear is a lovely shade and not at all brassy or cheap looking. I like how you can move the chain to wear in different ways i.e. cross body, on the shoulder or doubled up to carry by hand.
