Today’s outfit is one of those ones which came together perfectly with very little effort. All items are at least 1 year old and I love creating new outfits from existing pieces. This particular outfit feels fresh and bang on trend despite the age of the items. The bell sleeves on the crop jumper are in line with what’s in shops at the moment particularly River Island. They have a lot of knitwear pieces very similar to this. My jumper was from M&S and I got it on sale a few years ago. It’s been tucked away in a drawer for as long as I can remember and deserves to be shown off. It’s super thick and cosy which is perfect for this time of year. The crop style, split sides and pattern detail is really flattering.
The trousers are also old from New Look. The high waist detail is ideal for my shape and although they are slightly worn now, they still fit perfectly and haven’t stretched out the way other ‘leather look’ trousers do.
Paired with my oversized boucle coat I got in Zara around this time last year, I love the contrast between the leather and knitted fabrics. It just works and the outfit in general looks put together even though it only took 5 minutes. I’m sure you’ll agree most outfits don’t come together so easily and often take much more thought to achieve the same ‘effortless’ look.
My ASOS sock boots add a further texture with the suede and I like there to be a bit of skin showing between the trousers and the boots. I feel it elongates the leg and with this particular outfit, it ensures a clean line.
The Zara bag is very classy, chic and completes the look. The gunmetal grey hardware chain adds attitude and takes away some of the softness.
