Good Morning Monday!

Hope you had a lovely weekend. Mine was very chilled which was exactly what I needed. Now it’s back to work with a busy week ahead.

When I’ve got a hectic week at work, I like to stick to outfits I’m comfortable in but always make sure I’m still smart and professional. I like to look sharp and put together but to ensure full focus on my work I need to be comfortable. There’s nothing worse than an ill-fitting outfit which takes all of your attention and distracts you from what you need to be focused on. This is definitely one of my most comfortable outfits yet it’s super professional and chic at the same time.

I’m all about high neck victorian style shirts, I simply can’t get enough of them. This is one of my favourites and it was probably the least expensive due to snapping up a good bargain in the sale.  It’s from Warehouse and I think I got it for £8. It’s a lovely lightweight material and I layer a thermal long sleeve top underneath in the winter months or a vest through Spring/Summer. It’s a perfect year round piece and workwear wardrobe staple.

I’ve paired with my recently acquired trousers from Topshop. I absolutely adore the high waist frill detail. It’s really flattering and I’ve had so many compliments when wearing. They are quite a thick material therefore perfect for this time of year and they will be good with short sleeve or sleeveless blouses in Spring/Summer. I’m always thinking about how I’ll wear things all year round. I don’t particularly like changing my whole wardrobe from one season to the next. I like having key pieces that transition through the seasons and these trousers will definitely be able to do that.

I addedmy old Kurt Geiger shoes. I’ve had so much wear out of these and being such a classic style, they’ll never age. Kurt Geiger shoes are the most comfortable and I really mean that. I wear heels 8 hours a day and I’ve never had a blister or issue with any of their shoes. It’s definitely worth investing in decent shoes if you’re wearing them for long periods of time as otherwise you and your feet will suffer.

My Aldo bag is the perfect option for work as it’s really spacious and fits all my everyday essentials inside. The patent finish is very eye catching and the bag in general is really smart.
