Good Morning Monday,

Another working week is upon us and I’m back with a new outfit for the office. I’ve been loving all the pinafore style dresses and jumpsuits that have been around for a little while now but I had yet to find one that both fitted and suited me. Some of them were either too much, too fussy, too big, too long – you get the drift. I had spotted one from H&M which I really liked the shape and style of but unfortunately they only started from an 8 which was too big.

What I always do in that kind of situation is search on ASOS for the specific style or item as 9 times out of 10, they will have something similar or something better. I check ASOS new in section every single day (shopaholic) but I don’t always browse through each category as let’s face, there’s not enough hours in the day. I did a search for pinafore and low and behold they had loads of options, casual or smart, tailored or jersey. One particularly stood out and it was on sale – well helloooooo! They only had my size in stock – another sign it was meant for me – so I added to bag and checked out.

Saturday morning delivery arrived and I immediately tried it on in the way I had envisaged in my head I would wear it when purchasing. O.M.G. It fitted perfectly, hugging all the right places and just generally made me feel a million dollars. The high neck victorian style Alexa Chung shirt from M&S is the perfect match and totally transforms the look of the pinafore. The exaggerated frills add style and class and I feel like I’m ready for business.

I’ve paired with my Zara ‘Gianvito Rossi’ dupe shoes which are easily the most uncomfortable shoes I own yet I continue to wear them for work although I can only suffer them about once a fortnight. They look so nice even though I wish they were higher, I do love them and they are very elegant.

My Aldo bag compliments the overall look and is the ideal size for work. It holds everything I need day to day and with the structured shape, it doesn’t bulge or deflate depending on what’s inside.
