Good Morning,
Spring may officially be underway and it certainly felt like it over the weekend with the beautiful weather but I’ll still be over here wearing my usual black and white. I’ve been swooning over all the pastel pinks and sweet blush tones in stores at the moment but I’m just not there yet. It takes a bit time for me to get out my comfort zone again after the long winter and constant of heavy knits and padded jackets. I’m looking forward to getting all the chunky winter clothes out of my wardrobe and switching over to a lighter Spring/Summer palette.
Anyway today’s outfit is still appropriate for Spring although there are no exciting or bright colours. I’ve paired my favourite loop cardigan (which will need to be retired soon) with a lovely cold shoulder blouse. The combo of the open shoulder detail, the pretty frills and the light crepe material make it perfect for Spring/Summer. The button up the back detail is also really flattering showing a little bit of skin. The trousers are old from Zara and I love the Paisley pattern detail in the monochrome colours, it works really well. They are the perfect length with a small zipped hem. I’ve brought an older pair of shoes out the wardrobe and it’s so refreshing to wear something I haven’t for a while. The lace up detail is beautiful and helps to elongate my legs. The backless style is surprisingly comfortable and showing a bit of skin helps with giving the illusion of longer legs. My Zara bag is the perfect match giving a luxe feel to an otherwise simple outfit.
I’ve taken the day off work to relax and unwind however it never really goes to plan when I try to rest. Instead I’m off to Blythswood Square this morning for Millennial Monday’s then I’ll be heading for afternoon tea with my mum. Sounds like a pretty good Monday if I do say so myself…
