Good Morning & Happy Friday!

I’m back with gingham again – same trousers, different look this time. Last week I styled them for the office, this week it’s casual. That’s the beauty of investing in a good pair of trousers, you can wear them for all occasions getting value for money and reducing the cost per wear. These ones were inexpensive and I wouldn’t necessarily spend a lot of money on a trend piece that will only have a short life span however when it comes to a classic style, design or pattern, I don’t mind spending a bit more knowing I’ll get plenty of wear.

As I said in my previous post, it’s important to wear something simple that’s going to compliment the trousers rather than something loud that will clash. On this occasion I’ve gone for my lovely H&M crochet knit jumper with the frill detail and ruffle sleeves. It is soft and feminine without being over the top. The crisp white goes perfectly and brightens up the outfit overall.

I’ve added a pop of colour with red lace up shoes and a red bag. Since it’s Spring I’ve been trying to add more colour which isn’t always easy but this time it worked.

I’ve got quite a lot to do this weekend in preparation for my holiday next week. Packing is high on the agenda along with picking up last minute bits and bobs. Of course I need to prepare my blog posts for the week ahead but I’ve decided to take a break while I’m away to ensure I relax and enjoy it since I’m only away for a week. I’ll continue to create content when I’m away but I’ll post it when I get back.
