Good Morning,
Last day at work today before heading off to Cape Verde tomorrow – woohoooo!!
I thought I’d share what I plan to wear travelling as it’s always a tough one, do you go completely casual to ensure maximum comfort for the long journey or do you maintain standards and go for something in between comfortable and casual? I always avoid going for an outfit that is too casual (think velour tracksuit) as I feel like airports are places where you never know who you might see. Like it or not, first impressions are important and I would never want to be caught feeling underdressed.
This outfit is the best of both worlds as the trousers are light and comfortable and the knit jumper provides warmth. A scarf can be thrown over the top for extra coverage if required. I always find airplanes really cold and a scarf is the perfect way to keep warm and it doubles up as a blanket for sleeping.
The trousers are new from Zara. The high waist is perfect for me and I love the ruffle detail. The tie belt allows me to tie tightly to fit as otherwise they are a little big. The stripes are really flattering and the shade of blue is spot on. They are so easy to wear and will be perfect for holiday with a white tee.
I’ve added my crochet knit as it adds a feminine touch with the beautiful broidery lace detail. The flute sleeves add shape and character too.
I won’t be wearing the grey heels travelling but I will be taking them with me along with the pink bag which is just so pretty.
