Good Morning,
I’ve returned from holiday feeling revitalised and refreshed after a lovely, relaxing week in Cape Verde. The weather was perfect hitting almost 30 degrees each day with a light breeze which helps to cool down in between dips in the pool. I’ve got one last day off work and I’m going to make the most of it. While on holiday I had some time to reflect and I realised I had totally burnt out from pushing myself too much. With a full time job, this little blog, family and life in general, things had become quite hectic and I was constantly chasing my tail. It’s not really worth getting myself into that situation for the sake of making sure I publish 3 posts every single week. I’m very conscious I want to put out quality over quantity but I’m also keen to continue with the frequency as I feel it fits well. I’m going to try and avoid giving myself such a hard time if I don’t have everything lined up every single week.
Anyway to completely contradict what I’ve just said, I have a bumper blog week ahead with posts every single day. I find creating content while on holiday really easy as the landscape is generally picture perfect and the weather is always guaranteed. I managed to shoot a high volume of content in about 2 hours in total over 2 days at the end of my holiday. This meant it didn’t impact at all on my quality relaxing time but I still had some dreamy content to share on my return. I edited the photos in the airport while waiting for my flight home, again making best use of time and finished off the last photos when I got back. Editing holiday photos is so much easier than normal photos. There’s hardly anything to do, I usually just balance out the colours and that’s it. That’s almost my justification for allowing myself to publish 5 posts this week as it didn’t take any more effort than it would for 3 normal posts. Plus I want to share the photos since I went to the trouble of taking them haha!
Whilst on the beach we noticed a massive sand dune which was just screaming CLIMB MEEEE!!! Of course I immediately saw the photo opportunity and at the end of one of the days we set off to explore while the sun went down. Unfortunately the pics don’t really show the size or scale of the sand dune but nevertheless I wanted to share them anyway.
This playsuit from ASOS is ideal for beach days with the cold shoulder detail. The pattern is intricate and the synched in waist is flattering. I got it last year and wore it on my December trip but I wasn’t ready to retire it quite yet, it’s too practical and comfortable too which makes it perfect for holidays. I’ve been trying to find other similar styles and designs with different patterns but I’ve yet to come across any. If you see any please let me know in the comments below.

Be sure to check back each day this week for the next post.
