Good Morning,
Obsessed is the only word I can use to adequately describe how I feel about white lace. It doesn’t matter how many similar pieces I own, I constantly keep adding new white lace pieces to my collection, each as beautiful and intricate in detail as the last.
On Monday I was talking about an unsuccessful shopping trip in which I was supposed to be buying a gift for my friend’s birthday but ended up just buying things for myself. This white lace top was one of the things I purchased and I can honestly say I don’t feel guilty. It was far too nice to leave on the rail and I was instantly thinking of all the different ways I’d wear it such as with jeans or denim shorts if the good weather continues, with a high waist pastel coloured skirt or with patterned trousers for a different look entirely. The list was endless and that is my justification for the purchase. It’s such a bright white which in one way is great as it looks really clean and fresh and will go perfectly while I still have a tan. On the other hand, it’s bound to get dirty at some point whether it be make-up on the neck line or a spillage of some sort which I can be prone to.
I picked it up in New Look but it’s actually by a brand Blue Vanilla which I hadn’t come across before but having since checked out their website, I think it has potential to become a firm favourite. Lots of great on trend tops, skirts, playsuits, jumpsuits and pretty dresses at good value prices and definitely worth checking out.
It particularly reminded me of the Self Portrait styles which I’ve yet to get my hands on and I will some day but for now this £22 lookalike will do.
On this occasion I paired with jeans and heels to keep it simple and to ensure the top is the main focus. The high neck detail is super feminine and the cut out lace gives a glimmer of exposure but you can easily wear a vest, a crop or a bandeau style top underneath to protect your modesty.
