I love days when a basic white tee and jeans is all that is required. It’s got to be one of the most worn combinations and being able to accessorise and jazz it up is how we show our personality and individuality through an otherwise generic outfit.
Today I didn’t bother to accessorise with the exception of adding a splash of colour with my pink bag. Apart from that it’s as simple as it gets and sometimes that’s all you need. Stripping it back is often refreshing and the stress of wondering what to wear, will it suit, will it fit, will it be appropriate, are all taken out of the equation. Having had a week in the sun I think my approach to fashion and personal style is much more simplistic at the moment and I’m quite enjoying it. I’ve not really had the time to plan or prepare my outfits in advance like I usually would but I’m ok with that. I’m just taking each day and dealing with it accordingly.
My top is from River Island and it’s a good basic piece to have in my wardrobe for days like today. I also got it in a dark grey which I’ve yet to wear. The jeans are old from Zara but they are a classic pair and always go well with a plain white tee. I introduced the shoes recently and I explained at that time that they were bought with the intention of wearing for running errands and that’s exactly what I’ve done although I’d say I’ve probably had more wear out of them already than I had anticipated. This is again probably due to having a more simplistic approach at the moment and just throwing on comfortable options whenever possible.
