Good Morning,

The bardot style is definitely one of my favourites, showing some skin, avoiding tan lines and being very feminine in general. This season they have really come out in force with every high street store stocking their own version with patterns and styles to suit everyone. The dresses are perfect for holidays as they are so easy to throw on over a bikini.

Today’s is a new one from H&M. Can I just say I’m loving H&M at the moment. They have summer styling on point this season with so many lovely pieces at such great value for money prices. So much so, I purchased two different colours and two different sizes of this dress (they have it in 3 colours btw) but decided to only keep one as I do already have quite a few this style. I decided to keep the blue as it suits my skin tone and is good for coverage i.e. you won’t see my bikini underneath. The thick ruffle bandeau detail is beautiful and really adds something to an otherwise simple dress. The material is amazing and for £19.99, I was really surprised by how thick it is. I had also ordered the white and it was the same, really thick, really crisp white and would look amazing with a golden tan.

The length is perfect too and a very flattering cut. It also has pockets which is always a winner. It’s quite oversized and that’s good for summer as I often find myself avoiding tight fitting outfits as who wants to be uncomfortable when it’s hot and you’re trying to enjoy yourself.

It’s really good to find a dress that is not super short but also not too long that it makes my legs look short even though they are. I love simple outfits like this that don’t require much thought especially in summer. I don’t like to waste time deciding what to wear when the sun is shining, I want to be out enjoying it and making the most of it.

Paired with heels gives a more luxe look although sandals or slip ons would also go really well.
