Good Morning,
An all black outfit works year round, regardless of the season or what’s in style at that particular time. It’s such a classic look and not only is it good for those days when you don’t know what to wear, it’s also good if you feel like you’ve gained a few pounds as it’s definitely the most slimming option.
Anyway, today is a more casual look. We’re reaching the point where the fine and chunky knits are coming out of the closet and being layered in a variety of ways. I picked up this jumper earlier in the year in the H&M sale. I think it was about £10 which is great for such a thick and good quality knit. I wore it one day but it just felt so big and frumpy and I almost got rid of it as I thought it just didn’t suit me and I wouldn’t get any wear of it. For some reason I kept a hold of it and this week I pulled it out and put it on with this outfit combination and I thought it looked pretty good.
The thick ruffles on the sleeves add shape and flow nicely. I’ve rolled up the cuffs as they are quite long and as it’s a full coverage outfit, it’s good to show a little skin even if it’s only at the wrist. It breaks up the all black ensemble.
The black biker jeans add some attitude and my sleek pointed toe boots are a perfect match and add a little something to the outfit.
I love it when I manage to rework a piece I was ready to get rid of. It just shows it sometimes takes a bit of time and a fresh outlook to come up with an idea and see the potential in something.
