Autumn Workwear

Good Morning,

This is the first workwear outfit I’ve shared in a while as I’ve been a bit uninspired with my work wardrobe lately. I’ve been rotating the same outfits and same pieces over and over. When I spotted this skirt, it was the first tailored piece I’ve been drawn to for a while. It’s the perfect shade of grey and the check pattern is right on trend at the moment. The style of skirt is classic and it’ll definitely stand the test of time. I also bought the matching blazer however it was very oversized and too long for me. It swamped the skirt and I simply wouldn’t have been able to wear the pieces together therefore I’ve returned the blazer.

I’ve paired with a white blouse for a smart day at the office. The combination of the clean white against the check pattern of the skirt is striking. The rich, navy blazer with the textured and thick material is really formal for the office and hugs in all the right places. It goes really well with the skirt and as mentioned before, grey, white and blue together is one of my all time favourite combinations. That’s no different in the workplace.

The entire outfit is from Zara apart from the bag which holds all my essentials for a typical day at work and of course my new favourite coat. I love that this bag has lots of separate sections as it keeps all my things in order and holds a change of shoes too. It was a gift for my birthday last year and I wear it approx. 4 times a week. It easily goes with everything which is ideal for a work bag as I don’t always have time to change it each day depending on what I’m wearing.
