Navy & Lace

Good Morning & Happy Hallows Eve.

I’ve never been a fan of trick or treating or dressing up for Halloween. It’s just not for me and I feel the older I get, the more I loathe it.

Anyway I’m back with another post and it features my new trench coat yet again. This coat has been one of the best purchases I’ve made in recent years. It’s perfect for so many different occasions, goes really well with different outfits and is generally a great all rounder.

I’m actually surprised it’s taken me a few weeks to style with a crisp white lace blouse. That’s usually my first thought but I managed to sneak in a few different looks before reaching this point. I liked the idea of wearing with a high neck blouse. I’m also tempted to try with a polo neck but I’ve not got round to that yet.

I love the contrast between the crisp but soft white lace against the structured material of the coat. The rich and royal navy colour perfectly compliments the double breasted detail. The gold buttons add a luxurious feel.

This is such a classic look that just works so well. It’s elegant but not reserved yet classy and comfortable all at once. Perfect combination in my opinion.
