In the days and weeks leading up to my trip to Paris I was constantly checking the weather and hoping it would at least be dry regardless of how cold it might get. Rain is the most miserable and inconvenient weather when you want to explore and travel around a lot and in general it just slows you down. I don’t mind it being freezing cold as you can always wrap up warm and continue with your plans.
I did one last check before the plane took off and I was absolutely delighted to see that there was no rain forecast for our entire trip – hallelujah! I had a full suitcase and wanted to have an opportunity to wear something nice, especially as I was celebrating my birthday. On Saturday when getting ready to head out for the day, I decided to brave it and wear a nice Autumnal dress for the day. This also meant we didn’t need to return to the hotel to change for the evening.
I wore a thermal, long sleeve top underneath the dress to keep me warm. The material of the dress is quite warm although it’s not that thick. I also wore two pairs of tights and my lace up boots from M&S. My thick aviator jacket saved the day and literally kept me lovely and cosy all day long, too warm on occasion actually.
My little cross body bag literally only held my camera, purse and phone and even at that I was struggling to get things in and out. Next time I’ll definitely take a bigger bag. Maybe one of the two I ordered whilst away…
