Back to work and back to reality now. All the festivities and New Year celebrations are over and reality looms. All the food consumed and constant indulgence is starting to show and it’s time to get back into a normal routine, which includes eating less, sleeping at a decent time and getting back to work unfortunately.
The temperatures are still quite low and I’m contuning the hibernation mode by layering up anytime I need to leave the house. Today’s outfit is no different with a high neck victorian style blouse ensuring I still feel smart, glamorous and put together when I’d rather be wearing a duvet. I’ve tucked the blouse into my high waist jeans which I must admit are feeling a little snug after eating way too much food over the last month. An all inclusive holiday was the start of it all then the festivities including Christmas lunches, visiting the Christmas markets, the big day which was a food extravaganza from start to finish i.e. 25th – 27th December. Anyway now that I’m actually getting back to work and therefore doing much more than I have done for the last 12 days, I’m sure it’ll be fine. Here’s hoping anyway.
I’ve added my boucle style coat as it’s extremely oversized, super comfortable and is easy to throw on when it’s cold and crisp. The light grey goes perfectly with my jeans and the crisp white blouse. My little quilted cross body bag finishes the outfit off with the silver hardware detail going perfectly with the grey of the coat. I got this as a gift from my friends for my birthday and every time I put it on I get such a nice feeling. My friends know me so well and although I was prepared to buy this for myself, sometimes it’s nice to get something you really want as a gift instead.
