All Black

Good Morning, Happy Friday & Hello February.

January is such a long, dark month and we had weeks of bad weather which disrupted plans and just generally became a nuisance. I do love snow at Christmas but not every day when you’ve got things to do and people to see. I’m glad we’ve entered the second month of the year now and I’m spurred on by the fact that every day gets longer and Spring is getting closer and closer.

With that in mind, today I’m sharing a completely inappropriate outfit for winter. I shared a post last week about my new favourite belt which gives all the Gucci vibes. Today I’ve styled it with a simple all black outfit to really showcase the belt and make it the feature of the look.

The cold shoulder top shows a little skin which breaks up the all black look. I love this kind of detail and it’s really flattering. Black jeans are always a good idea and I’ve tucked the top in, again to highlight the belt and avoid taking anything away from it. The belt is so eye catching and adds a luxurious vibe to the overall outfit. The pearl detail is really elegant and reminds me of my Gran. She always invested in nice pearl necklaces and earrings. I don’t wear a lot of jewellery and prefer more dainty and fine styles as opposed to chunky costume jewellery. The pearls on the belt is a way of feeling like you’re wearing jewellery and finessing the look without going overboard. I absolutely love it and I’ve already had a lot of wear out of it. At £12, the cost per wear is incredible.

A quilted bag and my sleek ankle boots complement the look and continue the all black theme.
