Good Morning,
Just like that we’re right into March and although I can’t quite believe it’s March, I’m really pleased as I’ve got a lot on this month but also quite a few concerts and gigs which I’m excited about. There’s also the Easter bank holiday right at the end of the month so I can’t wait for that. The clocks will change and the days will be longer, hopefully the weather will improve too although it’s not looking too promising at the moment. There’s a lot to look forward to and I’m feeling good about the month ahead.
Before all of that let’s talk about my new jacket. I had my eye on this shearling number from the minute it went into the sale. I wasn’t prepared to pay a lot of money for it as I already have a few similar styles plus it won’t get too much wear now that we’re moving towards the new season and hopefully better weather prospects.
Anyway I kept checking back and it was in and out of stock constantly. It was still a bit pricey so I waited it out and eventually it came down to £29.99. Of course at this point it wasn’t available in my size online so I checked the stock available at nearby stores (love this option) and it was showing as available at Glasgow Fort. I kindly asked my dad if he could pop in to the store to pick it up for me as he was working nearby and to my delight it had been further reduced that day to £19.99. What a bargain! I would never have paid the original price of £95.99 but I certainly wasn’t expecting to get it for less than £20.
I tried it on and the fit was exactly what I had invisaged. Oversized, snuggly and oh so comfortable. The black leather belt detail adds some attitude and takes away from what could be quite a soft look with all the light and furry shearling material. The thick, high neck detail is my favourite as it acts like a scarf.
On this occasion I’ve kept it simple with a cream jumper underneath, jeans and ankle boots. My little Kensington mini bag just about holds my absolute essentials for the day.
I’ve added my baker boy hat and it goes really well with the other black detail on the jacket and I like the contrast of the leather and non-leather black materials.
