Good Morning,
What a weekend! I went to see Sam Smith not once but twice and it was an absolute delight each time. I love live music and hearing his incredible voice and the emotion of the songs in real life was amazing. So much so I bought tickets for Saturday night just to experience it all again. I figured it might be a few years before he tours again given it’s been 3 years since I last saw him so it was definitely worth going twice while the opportunity was available.
Anyway, in preparation for Spring I’ve been shopping, oh yes I’ve been spendy. I love getting new things each season even if it’s just fresh basics for everyday wear as let’s face it, that’s what we wear most. I also like getting a few new colourful pieces and I have managed to step out of my comfort zone as you may have noticed with the volume of colour in recent posts.
Today’s outfit is very me, maybe minus the volume of colour but in terms of the Parisian influence and effortless style it’s definitely one of my go to looks.
This top arrived about 30 minutes before we left for the airport to go to Milan. I’d seen it on Miss Selfridge (they have some really nice stuff ATM) but it was sold out in a size small. I check ASOS new in section approx 10 times every day and noticed it dropping in. I added to the bag and checked out immediately.
I didn’t take it to Milan as it wasn’t warm enough for the conditions but I’ve had it ready ever since waiting for the right moment to wear. The rainbow coloured slogan is perfect for Spring and brightens everything up. It’s also a slightly crop style which works well with high waist jeans.
It also goes really well with my Kurt Geiger trainers with the red working well with the colours on the top. The pink coat adds to the vibe and is the perfect pastel shade for this time of year.
Are you buying any new pieces for Spring?
