Good Morning,
I’m so ready for this long bank holiday weekend. It feels like it has been a long time coming although it’s earlier than usual this year. This week has been so busy both with work and social events. I went to see Anne Marie on Tuesday night which was amazing. Last night I seen Tom Walker at the Oran Mor and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Now I’ve got a little break before my next concert which is just as well as I’ve realised how unfit I am with my back aching from standing in the one spot for a few hours each night. I need to sort that out before Beyonce & Jay-Z in June.
Anyway now I’m ready for a chilled weekend. I’m hoping to catch up with some friends and I’m off for afternoon tea on Sunday but apart from that it’ll be a quiet one after a hectic few weeks. Can’t believe we’re almost in April, the year is flying in and I’m now counting down the weeks until my holiday which isn’t too far away at all. How exciting!
Today’s outfit is up there with one of my all time favourites. Anyone who knows me will know I’m heavily inspired by French style and the classic pieces associated. It doesn’t get more French than a beret and this is the first hat I’ve ever bought that actually fits and doesn’t immediately slide down over my eyes.
The high neck white lace blouse is so classic and chic with the fine, intricate detail and victorian inspired design. It’s one of those pieces you can put on any day of the week and immediately feel good. It’s formal with all the self portrait vibes yet adapts for more casual occasions as well.
The navy wrap around coat is elegant and the structured finish is a winner. The double breasted lapels are attention grabbing and create the most beautiful shape. I feel like I’ve got my sh*t together when I wear this coat, it’s just got that look and feel and it works every time.
The red bag finishes off the overall look, adding a pop of colour and a massive drop of luxe. It’s such a classic piece and the bold shade of red is just spot on, I love it.
