As mentioned on Tuesday, we’ve had a few days where it’s been pleasant and mild although still a bit grey but a significant improvement on the weather we’ve experienced over the last few months. I don’t particularly like talking about the weather in terms of outfits but there’s an undeniable link and the weather can at times make or break an outfit. It also affects our mood which in turn can impact on what we decide to wear day to day.
Being able to leave the house with just a blazer and not 100 layers feels so good. It isn’t warm by any means but it’s not absolutely freezing which is such a relief. The outfit is pretty simple, pastel pink blazer, white t-shirt and jeans. Still wearing boots as they’re easy, comfortable and warm too. I’ll hopefully be retiring them soon and bringing out my Spring/Summer heels and sandals.
You can never go wrong with a white t-shirt and this one is from Topshop. You can see it in these pics but it has roll sleeves which adds a nice touch to an otherwise basic look.
The high waist jeans are Zara and I really need to get some lighter wash denim for the new season. I love deep, dark denim in Autumn/Winter but Spring/Summer calls for light wash, mix dye and ripped styles. I also want to try out some different shapes this year. I had a total fail with the mom jeans but there must be other shapes which suit my petite frame and short legs apart from skinny jeans. Some days I just don’t feel like wearing skin tight jeans so my next mission is to find some new denim.
