Hope you had a good weekend.
Saturday was a glorious here in Scotland. How nice was it to feel the sun on our skin again? I absolutely loved it and sat out soaking it all up and eating a watermelon ice lolly which was delicious and took me back to my childhood for some unknown reason.
Anyway all this talk about the sun and here I am wearing a bloody coat and not showing an inch of skin whatsoever. Being completely truthful, I’m posting this outfit today as it correlates with my Instagram feed and posting schedule. It shouldn’t matter but it does and it’ll cause more hassle (to me) than it’s worth to save this one for another day so please just go with it especially given the good weather only lasted a single day.
I picked up this star design blouse from the River Island sale a few months ago but I hadn’t got round to wearing it and it was still bearing the tag. I decide to bust it out now that less layers are required. It goes perfectly with the dusky tones of the jeans which are brand spanking new. I was talking about buying some new light wash denim (clearly hasn’t happened) and some new jeans in general and as usual I stuck to my comfort zone and got a skinny pair from Topshop. They are really tight but I like the shape, cut and style and I can’t help but be attracted to what I know works well for me. I have ordered a number of other pairs of jeans so hopefully I’ll have some new and improved options soon.
The blouse and jeans also go perfectly with favourite my pink coat. The pastel shade works well with the tone of the jeans and the white blouse gives a clean, crisp finish to it all.
