Monday has rolled around so quickly and it’s back to the daily grind. Thankfully I’ve got an early finish on Friday and a long bank holiday weekend which I’m really looking forward to. Hopefully that can keep me going through the hardest day of the week.
Anyway on to the outfit. I fell head over heels for these trousers as soon as I seen them. For some strange reason (read highly annoying) Mango decided to put them on the website even though they weren’t yet available. Well there wasn’t any sizes available which is extremely inconvenient when you want to buy something that has just appeared in the new in section. I signed up for email alerts but being the skeptic that I am, I was sure they’d be in stock again before I received a notification. Of course I was right (smug) and my daily stalking eventually paid off.
To say I absolutely love these trousers is an understatement. They are such a lovely material with the shirred waist detail suiting my petite frame perfectly. The crop leg isn’t so ‘crop’ on me but they aren’t too long and go really well with heels too. The stripe design is simple but chic at the same time.
I’ve worn with a fine, white long sleeve jumper that goes really well as it’s simple enough but smart as well. The trousers are the focal point so I didn’t want anything fussy that would take the attention away or clash with them.
For a casual day I’ve paired with my fav trainers and a little red bag.
I know I will get a lot of wear out of these trousers. I’m already planning outfit combinations for Cape Verde, Mexico, Paris which they will be perfect for.
