I mentioned on Monday that I’ve started packing for my upcoming trip to Cape Verde. This is one of my travel outfit options. I always like to be smart when travelling but at the same time I always ensure I’m comfortable as there’s nothing worse at 40,000 ft than feeling like you’re clothes are ill-fitting. I also like to layer up as aircrafts can be really cold especially if you’ve got a long journey or are flying through the night. Scarves are essential and I’ve yet to decide what I’d pair with this outfit combo. It will need to be something simple as to avoid clashing with the trousers. I’m also undecided on my travel bag. I need something big enough for my laptop and camera but I don’t like to wear any of my ‘good’ bags as airports and planes are busy and desperately unhygienic places. I’ll probably opt for an old fail safe which I won’t get hung up on if it gets a bit dirty.
These trousers are ideal for travelling. Not only do they have an elasticated waist but the material is really breathable too. The pattern is subtle but chic enough. A white tee is an obvious choice for a long journey. Casual and comfortable and goes with everything. I also love a white t-shirt for the journey home as it works so well with sun kissed, glowing skin. Oh I can’t wait for that.
I wouldn’t usually wear trainers travelling but as I said on Monday, I’m having a bit of a moment with them just now and this pair go really well with the red stripe on the trousers.
Have you got any holidays planned this summer? What’s your go to travel outfit?
