I’m ready for summer in today’s outfit and it’s about time too. I got this jumpsuit from Zara for my upcoming holiday but I thought I’d get some wear out of it before then. A white tee underneath is the perfect way to make it appropriate for current conditions and everyday wear.
The thick straps of the jumpsuit work well giving strong hold and creating shape. The square neck detail is softened by the frill layer which adds some femininity. The tie waist is ideal as otherwise this honestly looks like a sack of suds on me. It’s so oversized and wide but I’ve been able to make it work by synching in the waist, creating a nice hourglass shape.
I bought the Castaner Wedges from Net-a-Porter last year but didn’t get a chance to wear them. They are quite heavy so I didn’t bother to take them to Cape Verde as I was restricted in terms of weight. I’ll always compromise on shoes rather than bikinis especially when on a small island where you can live that barefoot life. I’m glad I can finally get some wear out of them as although they are quite a heavy wedge, they are so unbelievably comfortable. They are soft and cushioned and it’s like walking on clouds. Not that I know what that would feel like but you get what I mean.
I really like this outfit and hopefully we get some more sunny days so that I can get more wear out of it.
