Perfect Spring Blouse

Good Morning,

It’s time to get the short sleeve tops and blouses out now that Spring is in swing and we’re on the way to summer. I’ve been living in long sleeves for what feels like forever so it’s a little daunting showing more skin and getting the arms out but it’s got to be done. I’m a slightly self conscious of my upper arms and always opt for at least a cap sleeve to compensate.

I spotted this top on Zara.com and immediately knew it would be perfect for hiding my insecurities. The high neck with ruffle detail is ideal as I don’t like to show much cleavage. The oversized frill sleeves are an absolute dream and hide the exact part of my arms that I don’t particularly like. They also flow beautifully as you move which is nice as sometimes the material can be stiff and one dimensional.

The top is quite a crop fit but it works well with jeans or my favourite high waist style of trousers. I’ve actually been wearing for work and it’s the perfect style and shape as it’s classy and smart but feminine and chic too. The shirred design on the front is forgiving and adds some detail. The back is more of a square style mesh which is also flattering but best of all it’s lightweight and breathable. The frill skirt trim gives a nice finish.

I’ve paired with my dusty jeans which are a great option for day to day wear. The top can also be dressed up with a high waist midi skirt or a sleek pair of trousers. So many different options which make it the perfect blouse for Spring/Summer.
