Arriving in Paris to glorious temperatures of around 24 degrees was an absolute dream. One last chance to indulge in some summer sun while exploring my favourite place, I can’t think of anything better.
As a result of the warm weather, I had to adapt my outfit choices. 24 degrees on a beach is very different to 24 degrees in a city and I wanted to remain smart but still be comfortable and chic at the same time. It is quite a challenge as you don’t want to be too hot whilst walking around and exploring yet you also don’t want something impractical that might blow open with an unexpected gust of wind from a passing car for example.
My polka dot wrap style skirt was the perfect option for the first day as it offered some coverage while being comfortable and practical too. The wrap itself does not ‘wrap’ if that males sense. The skirt is secure and doesn’t open at the front therefore there’s no exposure risk. The feminine silhouette is really flattering and the frills add to the detail. I paired with a simple Paris skyline top as why the hell not. I wanted something simple that wouldn’t clash with the polka print and it was the ideal match with the black embroidered detail complimenting the black skirt. I added another new bag (seem to be collecting them lately) which is a tweed style from Zara. The monochrome is ideal for the coming season and tweed is definitely one of the key trends for Autumn/Winter so it’s perfect in that respect. The size is great too as it fits my camera, extra lens and any other essentials. I like how you can add this bag to a simple all black outfit and it will instantly liven it up without being bold or in your face, it just adds a subtle chicness.
Trainers were the only option knowing we’d be walking miles and as damage limitation given it was only the first day.
I really like this outfit as it was a spontaneous choice and they often come up trumps. All items are still available too.
