Tweed is one of the key trends for Autumn and I have indulged in a few pieces already. Another way of participating in a trend without going all in is to pick up an accessory in the design or material and jazz up some basic outfits with said piece.
This bag is a perfect example of doing exactly that. I picked up this monochrome tweed bag before my trip to Paris. The black and white weave is ideal for matching with lots of different outfits and the silver hardware is subtle yet sleek.
The bag is a great size and holds all my everyday essentials. It has lots of pockets and sections which is another positive as I like my bags to be organised and I like to know where everything is rather than rummaging around trying to find something and having that heart sink moment when you’re convinced you’ve lost your purse or phone or keys when in actual fact, they’re simply hidden underneath receipts, hand cream and whatever else is clogging up the space.
I’ve worn with a simple outfit of black trousers and a t-shirt with the New York city skyline print. The bag is the key focus of the outfit without being over the top or overwhelming.
Are you getting involved with the Tweed trend this season?
