Monochrome is back and I’m not complaining, it’s my all time favourite combination and I don’t think I’ll ever tire of it. I’ve started to be a bit more adventurous and there’s more colour in my wardrobe than there’s ever been before but given the choice, I’ll always opt for monochrome over something more vibrant.
This little crop jumper is new from H&M and it’s easy to throw on with a skirt or jeans to wear for a casual day. I’ve worn it off the shoulder just to make it a little different. It’s quite a wide boat neck which doesn’t look too flattering on me so taking it over the shoulder makes it a bit nicer. It’s not the highest quality but at £12.99 I wouldn’t expect it to look or feel particularly luxurious.
The skirt is the new one added to my collection from Zara. This is such a worthwhile purchase as I’ve already got a lot of wear out of it and it’s so easy to style. It’s great having classic pieces like that in your wardrobe to throw on anytime, knowing they just work. The shirred waist detail is so flattering and the cut is perfect especially if you’re petite. If you’re tall, it might be a little short but as I said previously, there are shorts underneath so there’s no need to worry about exposing yourself.
The stud boots are also new in from Zara and are ideal for Autumn/Winter. They cut quite high on the leg which I thought would make me look shorter but I actually think it’s more flattering than some of my other boots. They are really comfortable and will be easy to wear on cold winter days when you still want to wear nice footwear but need them to be practical and survive the wind and rain too.
