I mentioned in this post that Zara had released my all time favourite piece in monochrome and of course I had to buy it. How could I not? It’s the most sophisticated, chic and easy to wear item of clothing in my closet yet a bargain too at only £29.99. I think they could easily have priced this higher between £49.99 and £69.99 and I’d have been happy to pay that as the quality and detail totally justifies a higher price point.
As soon as I featured it on insta story I had a few messages from friends and followers who had missed out on the pink version (it sold out really fast) and were delighted I’d made them aware of the latest drop. It’s messages like that which make my day knowing I’ve helped someone come across a really great piece.
They haven’t released the matching blazer as yet, I’m sure they will soon and keep an eye on the special prices section as that’s where the pink jacket ended up meaning I got the playsuit and jacket for £60 which is unbelievable as it’s such a beautiful co-ord.
I’ve styled the new version with a high neck top from River Island. I like the high neck and long sleeves as it makes the playsuit really wearable this time of year and gives a blank canvas. I also think the plain black base makes the tweed stand out more which is never a bad thing in my opinion. It’s a very statement piece and I wouldn’t want to take anything away from it or distract from it by wearing with something bolder underneath or on top.
I’ve paired with a classic pair of black leather boots. Can’t really go wrong with them and they add another texture with the smooth leather against the textured tweed. I don’t have any black bags with gold hardware (might need to fill that gap soon) therefore I’ve kept simple with a plain black quilted bag worn as a clutch.
What do you think of this outfit?
