Some days call for a really simple ensemble and today is one of those days. I’ve gone for an all black base as it’s an all time favourite for the times when you don’t have any idea what to wear or are just feeling a bit meh.
The entire outfit is from Zara with the only exception being the boots which are Topshop. It’s rare for me to wear an entire outfit from one shop but it can be done and Zara is great for basics and everyday essentials.
The polo neck jumper is one of the classics that they bring out year after year in a wide variety of colours. I love the fitted shape and gold accents with buttons on the sleeves. It’s a wardrobe essential in my opinion and can be worn in the office or casually like I’ve styled today.
The trousers are a suede legging style which I first tried on in Milan then ended up purchasing on my return. I wasn’t 100% sure on them at first but one thing I can guarantee is comfort. They are super soft and stretchy (hello elasticated waist) which is ideal this time of year when there is a high chance of over indulgence on a day to day basis. The faux suede finish blends in perfectly with the boots which are a major bargain & have just been restocked. I’ll link them below if you’re interested and I also included in my gift guide.
I got the coat quite a few years ago now in the sale. It’s massively oversized but warm and cosy with the thick knit material. It goes great with an all black look and the boucle style lightens it up.
