Things are slowly getting back to normal and the weeks of over indulgence are done for another year. I’ve cleaned out my wardrobe which is an annual ritual, getting rid of things that are past their best, donating others which haven’t been worn and deserve a new home and selling a few bits on eBay.
I’m aiming to shop a little less this year, mainly to save money but also because it’s unnecessary with the volume of things I already own. I need to be more creative and come up with different ways of wearing things to make them feel new and fresh even if they’re not.
I picked up this navy teddy style jacket with the voucher I won from 21 Buttons. It was £25.99 in the special prices section which is amazing value and meant my £100 went a lot further than I expected. I first wore it on my brother’s wedding day to walk over to the evening celebrations. It was a short walk outside and it kept me nice and cosy in amongst the freezing fog. Since then it’s had a few more wears and always gives a luxe finish to an outfit.
I’ve paired with an all black ensemble consisting of snake print finish leggings and a black high neck top. The jacket is quite statement so I didn’t want anything fussy underneath. The contrast of textures between the jacket and the leggings works well and gives an elegant touch. The snakeprint finish gives a slight shimmer every now and again which is really flattering. A classic black leather ankle boot finishes the outfit off and my mini Kensington holds my essentials.
I’ve got a few more days of relaxing before heading back to work and I plan to enjoy every single second.
