Good Morning,
Following on from my post last week about aiming to shop less, this outfit contains both new and old pieces which is a great combination and an easy way to make older pieces feel new and fresh.
The top is actually a bodysuit from Pretty Little Thing – a store I’d never purchased from before. The quality is pretty bad I have to admit, there is zero stretch which makes for quite a difficult entry and exit but I liked the pattern and at the price point you can’t exactly expect much. I knew I’d get a few wears out of it so decided to keep instead of returning.
The skirt is the checked pleated one from Zara which I’ve worn a zillion times. It’s super easy to style plus it looks great with everything.
Before adding my boots, this was a very inexpensive outfit yet one that could be worn for a variety of occasions such as afternoon tea with the girls or a birthday celebration. Of course you could easily add more affordable footwear keeping the overall outfit under £100 which is great value.
Adding a luxury item is a way of instantly elevating an outfit from high street to high end. Having only made my first designer purchase this year I don’t have many luxury items to add to my outfits but I plan to grow my collection over time. My LV Boots are definitely the best thing I could have bought as my first dip into the designer world and they still fill me with all the excitement I felt in store that day in Paris each time I slip them on.
xo!
