One of the things I had my eye on before the sales started was this jumper from River Island. I managed to resist buying before the sale commenced which is a demonstration of self control I very rarely manage. As soon as the sale started I searched in the hope it would have been included but unfortunately as new season stock and quite a classic piece, it remained full price. With Christmas money to spend I decided to go ahead and get it since I had been looking at it for a few weeks and thinking of the outfit combinations I could put together.
I was surprised by the length of the neck, it’s super long and can be folded in a number of ways to create either a high neck or a shorter but fuller look. The jumper is oversized itself and I was worried it would look a bit silly on my petite frame but I think I can just about get away with it. It’s extremely cosy though and perfect for this time of year.
On this occasion I’ve styled with a skirt for a more chic look. Although quite long, I’ve managed to tuck into the skirt without looking like I’m concealing a massive food baby. The combination of the light grey knit with the black stripes works really well with the black skirt and boots. The red writing is chic and of course I love anything with a ‘French’ touch.
I’ve slipped my phone, key and cards into this little Kensington pouch I received as a Christmas gift. It’s perfect for running errands or quickly nipping to the shop without having to carry a larger bag.
