There’s nothing more classic than stripes and I’m a huge fan regardless of the season, weather or occasion. Any excuse to wear stripes is good enough for me and this jumper is actually one of my all time favourites. It’s clean and crisp while also being versatile and most importantly, wearable. Some designs can be really busy with or with bold colourings which can reduce the number of ways to wear.
The bold white base is ideal as it doesn’t distract with the ribbed design adding some detail. The thin black stripes with an imperfect finish are really subtle and blend well into the white base. The balloon style sleeves add some flare and character with the turtle neck also adding to the shape. Although one of the cheapest knits I own, it’s certainly the best wearing having been worn and washed more times than I could count yet still looks like new.
I’ve styled with another all time favourite, my black pleated skirt. This is one of the most flattering items I own and while I’ve worn over and over, I still find myself reaching for it time and time again. It’s not something I’ve got fed up with or easily got bored of, it works in so many different ways.
My patent Kensington is the perfect match with the shiny finish going against the textured knit. I love the clear distinction and the bag is a real attention grabber.
