Now that we’re only a few weeks away from changing the clocks signifying the change of season, I’m starting to think about lighter outfit options and ways of layering that doesn’t involve massive teddy coats. I’m also opting for lighter tones and today’s outfit is a prime example of that concept.
Pinafore’s can easily be associated with school uniform however if you get the balance and style right, you can avoid looking like you’re dressed up as a school kid for Halloween. This nude one was kindly gifted by PrettyLittleThing and it’s one of those pieces which I wouldn’t have usually gone for but I’m really glad I did. The deep scoop neck and buckle detail allows you to adjust the fit to make it just right. The ribbed or almost cord detail is really flattering and gives a nice texture. The tone is beautiful for this time of year and makes it really wearable as it goes with everything.
On this occasion I’ve paired with a turtle neck fitted jumper with flute sleeves. The white is really soft and subtle but still clean and fresh for Spring.
I’ve accessorised with snake print boots and a bag while on trend & I think it works really well adding not only texture but pattern too. These boots were a really great buy. I didn’t expect them to get quite as much wear but they’re really comfortable and easy to style particularly with tonal outfits like this.
